This Blueberry Almond Smoothie is vegan and plant-based, but still filling enough for a refreshing breakfast on the go. Making the smoothie with almond milk and almond butter gives a creamy texture while the blueberries add a beautiful color.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup almond milk, I like vanilla unsweetened
  • 1 peeled banana, fresh or frozen
  • 1 cup blueberries, fresh or frozen
  • 1 tablespoon almond butter
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds
  • 1 tablespoon flax seeds

Instructions

  1. Blend all ingredients in a blender until smooth. If you don't use any frozen fruit, you can add a few ice cubes to thicken it. If both your banana and blueberries are frozen, then you may need an extra splash of almond milk in order to blend. Serve immediately.
