Cheesy One-Pot Taco Pasta
Ooey, gooey, and cheesy. Three of the best words to describe a recipe. Oh, and don’t forget easy and simple. Cheesy One-Pot Taco Pasta hits all of these. An easy ground beef recipe that satisfies your taco AND pasta cravings! I love how this simple One-Pot Pasta uses pantry ingredients with minimal clean up. This Taco Pasta is delicious as is, or feel free to pile on your favorite Taco Tuesday toppings. Chopped tomatoes, avocado chunks, crushed tortilla chips… the possibilities are endless!
We cook the pasta in the same pot that we cook up the ground beef. Not only does this save us in clean up, but it helps the pasta soak up all the good flavors. By using taco seasoning AND salsa, this Taco Past packs a punch of flavor. I usually use medium salsa so that it has a little heat, but mild salsa is also fantastic and make it more family friendly.
First, we brown the ground beef. After browning the ground beef, all you have to do is stir in taco seasoning, water, salsa, and pasta. Bring it all to a boil, then cover and let simmer until the pasta is cooked and tender. This takes less than 15 minutes, so you have just enough time to set the table for dinner.
The final, and very important step, is to stir in the cheese. We don’t go light on the cheese in this recipe. I want delicious, drool worthy, cheese pulls in every bite. BUT, if you’re not a cheese fanatic like me (it’s okay, we can still be friends) go ahead and cut back on the amount added. It’ll still be delicious.
