Peanut Butter Pumpkin Doggy Ice-Cream

Your pooch deserves a tasty treat this summer. This 3-ingredient dog ice-cream is the perfect treat for your furry friend. Make a batch and keep in your freezer for when your pup deserves a special treat. Making your own doggy ice-cream is a much cheaper alternative to buying from the pet store.

Why I love making doggy ice-cream:

  • Making it yourself is WAY cheaper than buying it at the pet store. Like seriously way cheaper.
  • You get to control the ingredients! You know your dog’s diet best and when in doubt, consult your vet. But this let’s you be in control.
  • You can make the treats as big or as small as you’d like! I like them small for a little treat, but you could freeze them into cups for more of a “slowly lick the ice-cream” experience.
  • Because your fur baby deserves it!

First, just add the 3 ingredients for the doggy ice-cream to your blender or food processor. You can even mix it up by hand!

Then pour the blended ice-cream mixture into molds. I used these super cute bone and paw print shaped silicone molds I got from Amazon. Pop into the freezer until frozen and then transfer to a freezer bag or container for storage.

The final and most important step. Share a treat with your favorite doggo!

How do you spoil your pup? Let me know in the comments!

Instructions
  1. Blend ingredients in a food processor or blender. Alternatively you could mix it up by hand. Pour into molds of choice (I liked using silicone molds to make them easy to pop out).
  2. Freeze until solid - depends on mold size. My small ones took about an hour or two. Transfer to a freezer bag for long term storage and store in the freezer until ready to share with a good boy or girl 🙂
Recipe Notes

Make sure your peanut butter is just peanuts and no funky ingredients! Some peanut butters contain "xylitol" which is toxic to dogs.
