My favorite place to be has always been in the kitchen. I love creating recipes that are easy and approachable. Simple ingredients and easy-to-follow steps!
Let's Start from the Beginning…
I grew up in a suburb of Minneapolis, Minnesota and have forever felt most at home in the kitchen. From mixing up holiday cookies with my family, adding to my growing cookbook collection, and constantly jotting down recipes I saw on my favorite Food Network Shows (shout out Rachael Ray and Emeril) to make on my own asap, I’ve always loved creating in the kitchen.
…Kathleen’s Cravings was born!
Fast forward to after I graduated college with a degree in Marketing and Data Analytics, I found myself working for a food company where I spent my 9-5 analyzing data and keeping up with the latest trends in the grocery store and restaurant scene. I felt fortunate to be in a job that I enjoyed, but I found myself wanting a passion project to work on in my free time.
I had been an avid food blog reader for years and had always found myself making excuses on why I shouldn’t make my own site (raise your hand if you’ve also battled Imposter Syndrome!).
In 2018, I pushed against those excuses, bought the domain name, and Kathleen’s Cravings was born! Truthfully, I never thought my reach would extend much further than my close friends and family, so to see how far this site and community has grown amazes me. Thank you for being here!
Supporting Animals in Need
In addition to my passion for helping you cook at home, I have a passion for dogs. I love spending time with my rescue dog, Gus, aka my designated crumb cleaner. I also spend time volunteering and fostering with local dog rescues.
By supporting Kathleen’s Cravings, you are also supporting animals in need! A portion of all ad revenue from this site is donated to animal shelters and rescues. I donate the money to rescues that I have personally volunteered for or fostered with so I know the donation is put to great use.

The blog began purely out of passion. I loved to play in the kitchen and wanted a medium to document what I was making and craving.
Gus is the king of the mutts! He is a mixed-breed rescue. According to the DNA test, he's part German Shepherd, American Staffordshire Terrier, and Labrador Retriever. But, of course, 100% Good Boy!
