    This Mini Cheesy Monkey Bread recipe is essentially single-serving pull apart cheesy garlic bread made in a muffin pan. Cut up store-bought biscuits, toss in some melted butter, garlic, and seasoning. Easy, fun, and kid-friendly pull-apart rolls for dinner. Cheesy, buttery, garlicky, YUM!

    • Store-bought Biscuits - the kind in a can! You can also use them to make garlic knots!
    • Melted Butter
    • Shredded Cheese - I used Mozzarella
    • Italian Seasoning
    • Garlic
    • Salt, Pepper, and Cooking Spray

    Definitely! You can use a different shredded cheese of choice.

    What is Monkey Bread?

    Monkey Bread is traditionally a sweeter bread made of balls of dough that have been rolled in cinnamon sugar. It is traditionally made in a bundt pan.

    This recipe is a fun spin on the classic. Turning a traditionally sweet recipe into a savory, cheesy side dish.

    And instead of making in a bundt pan, using a muffin pan to make individual servings.

    How long will leftovers last?

    This recipe is best served immediately. Warm from the oven.

    Leftovers can be stored in the fridge in an airtight container for 3-4 days.

    What size of muffin pan should be used?

    I used a standard-size, metal muffin pan. You could also use a standard-size silicone muffin pan.

    You could use a larger, jumbo muffin pan but the cook time will need to be longer.

    How many mini cheesy breads does this recipe make?

    Using a standard muffin pan this recipes makes 12 pieces.

    However, you can easily half or double the recipe to make more or less.

    What should mini cheesy monkey bread be served with?

    They are a great side dish with so many dinners. I love having them with Italian food such as pizza or pasta. Such as with this Instant Pot Penne Bolognese or Cheesy Sausage Baked Gnocchi.

    Ingredients

    • 1 16oz can Refrigerated Biscuits
    • ¼ cup Unsalted Butter
    • 1 cup Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
    • 1 tablespoon Minced Garlic
    • 1 ½ teaspoons Italian Seasoning
    • Salt and Pepper
    • Cooking Spray

    Instructions

    1. Preheat Oven. Preheat Oven to 375°F. Spray a 12 cup standard muffin tin with cooking spray.
    2. Cut Biscuits. Cut each biscuit into 8 pieces - you should have about 64 pieces total.
    3. Coat Biscuit Cubes. In a large bowl, mix together the melted butter, cheese, garlic, Italian seasoning, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Stir in biscuit pieces, tossing to combine.
    4. Fill Muffin Pan. Fill muffin cups with 5-6 biscuit pieces.
    5. Bake. Bake in preheated oven for 10-12 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
    6. Serve and Enjoy. Remove from oven, you can brush with any remaining butter mixture, serve and enjoy.
