Making breakfast sausage links in the air fryer is faster, less messy, and easier than cooking them on the stove! They cook in under 10 minutes and you don't have to worry about babysitting a grease-splattering skillet on the stove.

Air Fryer Breakfast Sausage is an easy side dish for breakfast or brunch! Try serving them with pancakes (pancakes made without milk or extra fluffy traditional pancakes), muffins like these pumpkin banana muffins, or an egg dish like this caramelized onion quiche.

Why I Love It:
- Faster - Cook faster than on the stove!
- Easier - No need to babysit a skillet on the stove, just add to the air fryer and cook.
- Versatile Breakfast Side - Breakfast sausage is great paired with sweet options like pancakes or waffles and savory options like eggs.
Ingredients
- Breakfast Sausage Links - I used regular pork breakfast sausage links found in the refrigerated section of my grocery store near the bacon. You can also use chicken or turkey breakfast sausages but you may need to adjust the cook time slightly. You can also use sausage patties instead!
Step by step instructions
Making Breakfast Sausage Links in the Air Fryer is fast and easy!
- Add to Air Fryer - Add your desired number of sausage links to your air fryer basket in an even layer. You want there to be a little space in between each link so the hot air can circulate.
- Cook - Air fry until the sausage links are browned and fully cooked.
Leftovers and Storage
Leftover cooked breakfast sausage can be stored in the fridge in an airtight container for up to 4 days.
Recipe Tips
- Sausage Patties vs Links - You can follow the same recipe instructions when cooking sausage patties. Depending on the thickness, you may need to add a minute or so to the cook time.
- Don't Crowd the Air Fryer - For even cooking and browning, don't overcrowd the air fryer. You want the sausage links in an even layer with some space in between.
- No Need to Pre-Heat - Some air fryer recipes call for preheating, but you don't need to for this recipe!
- Thawed vs Frozen - You can cook sausages in the air fryer from frozen, just add a few minutes to the cook time and cook until they are no longer pink in the middle. I prefer to cook from fresh so the outside of the sausage doesn't get too brown.
