This Chocolate Strawberry Smoothie gives you the best excuse to have some chocolate for breakfast! It's a dairy-free smoothie using almond milk and almond butter for a protein boost. Only 4 ingredients, just a quick whirl in your blender, and you've got a healthy breakfast or post-workout drink.
What You'll Need for this Recipe:
- Frozen Strawberries
- Vanilla Almond Milk
- Cacao Powder
- Almond Butter
How to Make the Chocolate Strawberry Smoothie:
- Blend it Up! Add all ingredients to your blender and blend until smooth. Depending on your blender and depending on the desired consistency, you can add more milk to thin out.
- Enjoy!
Can I use something other than Almond Butter?
I've only tested Almond Butter (peanut allergy, problems..) but you can substitute a different nut butter of choice.
Can I use fresh strawberries instead of frozen?
You can totally use fresh instead of frozen, but you may want to add a handful of ice-cubes.
Can I use a different milk?
You can use a different milk (dairy-free or regular milk). I like the extra flavor that the vanilla almond milk adds, but you can always add a drop of vanilla extract as well.
