⭐Why I Love It
- No Bake Fudge - For another no bake treat, try these Cereal S'Mores Bars or Coconut Rum Balls - from Aubrey's Kitchen.
- Creamy Texture - The fudge has a rich and creamy texture that I love.
- Make Ahead Friendly - When you're making lots of Christmas Cookies and other holiday treats, I love a recipe that can be made in advance.
🥘Ingredients Needed
- White Chocolate - I find using a white chocolate bar chopped up vs morsels (chips) helps with melting. However, I have tested with White Chocolate Chips and it works just fine. Also try making this Starbucks White Hot Chocolate recipe.
- Can of Sweetened Condensed Milk - you can also use this to make this Christmas Hot Chocolate.
- Dried Cranberries - It's important to use dried cranberries (also called Craisins as the brand name). But for a recipe using fresh cranberries, try this Cranberry Jalapeño Dip.
- Orange Zest - You can use the leftover whole oranges to make a simmer pot!
- Vanilla Extract
- Kosher Salt
See the recipe card for full information on ingredients and quantities.
📖Variations
Instead of Cranberry and Orange, here are some other flavor ideas!
- Plain White Chocolate Fudge - You can just omit the orange zest and dried cranberries.
- Chopped Nuts - Instead of dried cranberries, try adding chopped nuts like pecans or almonds.
- Lemon - Instead of the orange zest, try adding lemon zest!
🔪Step by Step instructions
Making white chocolate fudge is easier than you and takes less than 15 minutes of active prep/cook time.
Photo 1 - Line an 8"x8" baking dish with parchment paper. Melt the white chocolate and sweetened condensed milk in a double boiler, then stir in the remaining ingredients. Pour fudge mixture into prepared pan.
Photo 2 - Cover the pan with plastic wrap and put in the fridge to set for at least 4 hours or overnight. Cut into small squares and serve at room temperature, but store in the fridge in between serving.
🍽Leftovers and Storage
While the white chocolate fudge will retain its shape at room temperature, I recommend storing in the fridge for optimal shelf life. Fudge squares can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for at least a week. Or for longer storage, store in the freezer for up to 2 months.
👩🍳Recipe FAQs
Absolutely! Don't like orange? Omit the zest! Don't like cranberries? Chopped nuts are a great choice too! I love the combination of almonds and white chocolate too.
I recommend using an 8x8 inch square pan or baking dish. Since you're not baking the fudge, it doesn't matter if you use metal, glass, or ceramic. Just make sure to line your pan with parchment paper for easy removal. If you'd like, you could use a round pan as well - your fudge will just not all be square shaped. You can also use a 9x9 inch pan but the fudge will be thinner.
Yes! Although a white chocolate bar will melt easier, you can use white chocolate morsels instead. Just be sure to stir frequently while mixing and be careful that you don't burn the chocolate.
White chocolate is made from cocoa butter which is the oil that comes from cocoa beans. White chocolate does not have any cocoa powder in it which is what gives regular chocolate its flavor and brown color.
